MALLY KHORASANTCHI

I enter my studio and go into this sacred world and before I know it, I am so close to my canvas, my paint, my paper, the smell, the excitement about a stroke, a form, a mysterious color that I did not even know would exist, and it takes me into my absolute world of bliss—sometimes so much, that I feel embarrassed to share my joy. My studio is where I forget my miseries and my own little pity party by concentrating on my work. I get so extremely happy when I’m there, away from the outside world and my own pain from an injury that I had and still have, that I feel extremely thankful that I am able to paint. I try with my pieces to demonstrate joy and hope to send that positivity out into the world.
