HEEJUNG CHO

To me, bliss is balance, comfort, peace, and the satisfaction that comes from caring, sharing, and remembering. When I follow my own delightful memories, my mind takes me to the places they were created. There are so many places, including old houses in Korea, the hallways and staircase where I played with my friend as a child, the street where I lived in Brooklyn…All of them are very specific places, and yet they could be anywhere. I love that people find a path to their own blissful memories in the spaces I create in my sculptures and prints. I also find bliss in every day that I am alive and able to live routines without devastating incidents.
